The Commons at Pearce Ford Tower , Western Kentucky University, Bowling Green, Kentucky
From grassy field to urban plaza, this space now unifies the area between three dorms and a food service building. The concentric paving design uses Pearce Ford Tower, a 27 storey dorm as the nucleus of a master plan that includes seat walls, bike racks, tables for the food service and built-in game tables, and preserves 95% of the existing trees.

A good hardscape design provided lots of urban style space for student activites between three big dormitories where once were only muddy paths. Now students have seat walls, a board game area, bike racks and tables and chairs, as well as ample room to gather and relax.
